WILLIAM NEUHOFEL
Family Medicine
About
Dr. William Neuhofel, DO, is a family medicine physician who founded NeuCare in 2011 as one of the nation’s first Direct Primary Care (DPC) practices. He believes that eliminating the complexity of traditional insurance‑based care allows him to spend more time with each patient, provide transparent pricing, and focus on preventive health. His DPC model emphasizes personal relationships, same‑day access, and a holistic approach to wellness.
Dr. Neuhofel earned a B.S. in Biology from Friends University, a Master of Public Health from the University of Kansas, and his D.O. degree from Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine (2008). He completed a Family Medicine residency at KU‑Med, serving as Chief Resident. He lives in Lawrence, KS with his wife, four children, and a Labrador Retriever, and enjoys cooking, traveling, and the outdoors.
