Wes Hite

Dr. Wes Hite, DO, FAAFP, is the Founder and Medical Director of Wellspring Direct Primary Care. He was born at Fort Benning, Georgia, and grew up in the military, spending much of his childhood in Germany. After completing a bachelor's degree at UNC‑Chapel Hill, he accepted a Health Professions Scholarship that funded his medical education at Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences, where he trained in osteopathic medicine. He completed his residency in family medicine at Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, serving as Chief Resident.

After more than 20 years in military and civilian practice, Dr. Hite grew disillusioned with the complexity of the traditional healthcare system and envisioned a return to personalized, patient‑centered care. He founded Wellspring Direct Primary Care to provide holistic, accessible primary care that emphasizes long‑term relationships, same‑day appointments, and a focus on whole‑person health. His DPC philosophy centers on listening, continuity, and empowering patients to take charge of their health.
