TODD BERGLAND
Family Medicine
About
Dr. Todd Bergland earned his MD from the University of Vermont College of Medicine, where he was honored with the Humanism in Medicine Award. After medical school he completed a family medicine residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA, serving as chief resident and later as a tank battalion surgeon during a deployment to Iraq. He spent ten years in private practice in Whitefish, Montana, caring for thousands of patients and building deep, long‑term relationships.
Frustrated by the barriers and costs of the traditional insurance‑based system, Dr. Bergland founded Fountainhead Family Med as a Direct Primary Care practice. He believes in providing “small‑town family doctor” care—spending ample time with patients, offering same‑day visits, virtual access, and even house calls—while eliminating unnecessary red tape and high fees. His DPC model focuses on personalized, preventive care and building trust with each patient.
