TIMOTHY KATHMAN

Dr. Timothy Kathman, MD is a supervising physician at Mermaid Well who brings over 40 years of medical practice experience with a commitment to patient‑centered care. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and has worked 25 years in hospital medicine with a special interest in cardiology and pacemakers. Dr. Kathman previously served as the Chief Medical Officer and Chief Medical Quality Officer at his local community hospital. Currently, he provides care for patients with substance use disorders, serves as Chairman of the County Board of Health, has 17 years of public service as county coroner, and is a faculty member and site director for the Wright State University Rural Family Practice Residency Program. Dr. Kathman believes in a care approach rooted in thorough patient evaluation and the strategic management of medical conditions in the context of each individual’s overall well‑being, minimizing non‑essential medication use.
