Thomas Bailey
Internal Medicine
About
Dr. Thomas Bailey, MD is a lifelong resident of the Youngstown, Ohio region. He completed his pre‑medical studies at Youngstown State University and earned his medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University in 1999. He then returned to his hometown to finish a three‑year internal medicine residency at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio (1999‑2002). After residency he practiced traditional insurance‑based outpatient medicine, later transitioning to hospital medicine in 2011 before embracing the Direct Primary Care (DPC) model.
In 2024 Dr. Bailey founded Mahoning Valley Direct Primary Care to bring back a personal, trust‑based doctor‑patient relationship. He believes care should be accessible, affordable, and tailored to each individual, offering same‑day or next‑day appointments and 24/7 direct communication via phone, text, or email. His DPC philosophy emphasizes preventive health, chronic disease management, and spending ample time with patients to understand their whole health journey rather than focusing solely on episodic "sick care".
