Stephanie Carter, PA‑C grew up in Shreveport and earned a Biology degree from East Texas Baptist University before completing her master’s in Physician Assistant studies at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She began her clinical career with two years in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery followed by fourteen years in cardiology, gaining extensive experience in acute and chronic cardiac care. In 2016 she transitioned to family medicine with the opening of MyMD Select, bringing her broad expertise to a primary‑care setting.

At MyMD Select, Stephanie embraces the Direct Primary Care model, emphasizing real access, personalized attention, and a high‑touch approach that removes insurance red tape. She believes in listening closely to patients, providing same‑day appointments, and delivering comprehensive, preventive care that keeps the community healthy and empowered.
