Dr. Shauna L. Guthrie, MD, MPH, FAAFP is a Family Medicine and Preventive Medicine physician who grew up in rural Kansas and Missouri and understands the challenges patients face when lacking insurance or fearing cost. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology/Genetics from the University of Kansas, attended Drexel University College of Medicine for medical school, and completed her residency training in Family Medicine at the New Hampshire Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency followed by a Leadership Preventive Medicine Residency at Dartmouth‑Hitchcock. Dr. Guthrie founded Sunflower Direct Primary Care in March 2021 to provide affordable, patient‑centered care without the burden of insurance, emphasizing longer visits, continuity, and transparent pricing.
