Dr. Sharyl Truty, MD, is the founder and physician of Balanced Physician Care, a Direct Primary Care practice focused on personalized, holistic health care. She blends scientific clinical medicine with an individualized holistic approach, emphasizing patient partnership, preventive wellness, and direct access without insurance barriers. Dr. Truty’s DPC philosophy centers on building long‑term relationships, offering 24/7 communication, and creating balanced treatment plans that integrate nutrition, lifestyle, and integrative therapies.
With over 17 years of experience in family medicine, sports medicine, orthopedics, and acupuncture, she brings a broad clinical background to her patients. She completed her medical degree at Loyola University’s Stritch School of Medicine, a family medicine residency at Rush Medical Center in Chicago, and fellowships in sports medicine and integrative medicine, allowing her to provide comprehensive, whole‑person care within the DPC model.
