Shane Purcell

Dr. Shane Purcell, MD, is a family medicine physician in Anderson, SC. He co‑founded Direct Access MD and has practiced under the Direct Primary Care (DPC) model since 2015. By eliminating third‑party payer interruptions, Dr. Purcell is able to focus on a "patient‑first" approach, returning to the core of family medicine – a strong, continuous relationship between physician and patient. He is a founding member of the DPC Alliance and serves on its Advisory Committee, speaking about DPC at venues such as TEDxFurman, the DPC Summit, and the AAFP FMX conference.
