Her diverse experience spans urgent‑care centers, free clinics, academic institutions, federally qualified health centers, and corporate clinics, and she has been featured in National Geographic and quoted on NPR. Dr. Zaheer is deeply committed to addressing healthcare inequities and social injustice, integrating rest and recreation into her busy schedule as a physician‑mom and often leading "Walk with a Doc" sessions at Centennial Park. Born and raised in Pakistan, she earned her medical degree at Shifa College of Medicine in Islamabad and completed an away rotation at Emory in Atlanta, where she recognized the critical role of outpatient primary care and chose a career in family medicine to foster longitudinal doctor‑patient relationships that improve health outcomes.
