Dr. Russell Homan, MD, is a board‑certified pediatrician and lactation consultant who founded Canopy Pediatrics to provide a Direct Primary Care model focused on personalized, uninterrupted care. He emphasizes longer, unhurried appointments, direct phone and text access, and home visits, allowing families to avoid the delays and frustrations of traditional practice. His DPC philosophy centers on building lasting doctor‑patient relationships and re‑establishing the mutually rewarding partnership that modern healthcare often lacks.

Dr. Homan earned his undergraduate degree at Princeton University and his medical degree from Columbia University School of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed both his internship and pediatric residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville, and has further training as a board‑certified lactation consultant and in Triple P behavioral management for children and teenagers. He combines his Ivy‑League education with extensive clinical experience to deliver comprehensive pediatric and breastfeeding care.
