RICHARD KANER

Dr. Richard Kaner, MD, is a board‑certified internist and geriatrician who has been practicing medicine for more than four decades. He earned his MD from the University of Washington School of Medicine in 1984 and completed his internal medicine residency at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego. Dr. Kaner helped launch the Overlake Senior Health Center (1999‑2012) and later co‑founded Bellevue Medical Partners, a Direct Primary Care (DPC) practice that emphasizes long‑term doctor‑patient relationships, generous appointment times, and transparent, membership‑based pricing.

At Bellevue Medical Partners, Dr. Kaner focuses on personalized, whole‑person care for adults, integrating preventive health, chronic‑disease management, and geriatric expertise. He believes that the DPC model allows him to spend the time needed to understand each patient’s unique health goals, coordinate specialty care when required, and keep care affordable without the constraints of traditional insurance billing.
