RHONDA CARLSON

Dr. Rhonda Carlson is a Family Medicine physician born and raised in northern California. She graduated magna cum laude from Chico State University with degrees in chemistry and psychology, and earned her medical degree with High Honors from Loma Linda University School of Medicine. She completed her residency training in Family Medicine at the U.C. Davis‑Merced Family Medicine Residency Program, preparing her to serve as a rural family physician.

Dr. Carlson is the founder of a Direct Primary Care practice in Chico, California, launched on January 1, 2014. Her DPC model removes insurance barriers, offering patients a monthly membership that provides unlimited primary care visits, preventive services, and same‑day access. She emphasizes a personalized, “old‑fashioned” doctor‑patient relationship, focusing on continuity of care, price transparency, and spending ample time with each patient to address their unique health needs.
