PRIYA CARDEN

Dr. Priya Carden, MD, is the founder and sole physician of Maple Tree Healing, a Direct Primary Care practice in Eugene, Oregon that she opened in 2015. She describes her practice as a return to the "way medicine used to be," offering direct physician access via phone and email, same‑day appointments, and house calls when appropriate. By removing insurance middlemen, she aims to provide personalized, relationship‑focused care where patients are heard and healed together.

Dr. Carden earned her MD from Northwestern University Medical School in 2002, completed an internship at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in 2003, and finished her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Wisconsin in Madison in 2005, serving as Primary Care Chief Resident. She is board‑certified in Internal Medicine (2005, recertified 2014, 2017) and in Hospice and Palliative Medicine (2010, recertified 2023). Her international medical experiences in Nicaragua, Peru, Nepal, and India have shaped her holistic approach to patient care.
