PENELOPE VACHON

Dr. Penni Vachon, DNP, APRN, ANP-BC, is the founder and driving force behind Lowcountry Wellness Center, a Direct Primary Care practice in Charleston, SC. After being diagnosed with an autoimmune condition and later Lyme disease, she experienced firsthand the shortcomings of traditional healthcare—rushed appointments, minimal listening, and surface‑level treatment. Determined to create a more compassionate model, she built Lowcountry Wellness Center to provide affordable, integrative, and personalized primary care that puts patients, not paperwork, at the center.

The practice emphasizes a whole‑person, root‑cause approach, spending meaningful time with each patient, offering unlimited visits, preventive care, and a blend of Eastern and Western treatment options. Dr. Vachon’s clinical background includes a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, board certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner, and additional certifications in Reiki and Transpersonal & Trauma Healing Hypnotherapy. She leads a team of family nurse practitioners to deliver continuity, clarity, and sustainable health outcomes for the Charleston community.
