Patrick O'Connell

Dr. Patrick O'Connell is a board‑certified internal medicine physician and the founder of Sentinel Primary Care. He earned his BA from Brown University and received his medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After medical school he completed his residency in internal medicine at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore. Dr. O'Connell spent over a decade practicing at Duke Health before establishing Sentinel Primary Care in 2017 to provide a more personalized, relationship‑based model of care.

At Sentinel, Dr. O'Connell emphasizes the Direct Primary Care philosophy of unlimited access, longer appointments, and direct communication via phone, text, and email.
