About
Dr. Nicholas "Nick" Tomsen is a co‑founder of Antioch Med, a Direct Primary Care practice in Wichita, Kansas. He grew up in Nebraska and earned a BS in Engineering from the University of Nebraska before receiving his MD from the University of Iowa College of Medicine. After completing a residency in Family Medicine at Via Christi Family Medicine, where he served as Chief Resident, Dr. Tomsen helped shape Antioch Med’s mission to prioritize the doctor‑patient relationship over third‑party insurance constraints, offering comprehensive, affordable primary care for the whole family.
He further expanded his clinical perspective by completing a Fellowship in International Family Medicine while serving at a hospital in Galmi, Niger. Dr. Tomsen remains active in teaching residents and medical students, and he is involved in his local church community. He emphasizes building lasting relationships with patients, believing that personalized, relationship‑based care is the cornerstone of effective primary care.
