Muhammad Raza Aftab

Dr. Muhammad Raza Aftab, MD, DABOM, is a board‑certified Internal Medicine physician who founded Chicago Direct Primary Care to provide transparent, preventive, and patient‑centered care. After completing his medical degree at Punjab Medical College on a full scholarship, he immigrated to the United States in 2016 and finished an Internal Medicine residency at Ascension Health Saint Joseph Hospital in Chicago. He later added a board certification in Obesity Medicine and has collaborated with sports‑medicine specialists to address holistic health and longevity. His practice philosophy emphasizes a big‑picture approach to health, focusing on early detection, lifestyle optimization, and long‑term well‑being rather than merely treating symptoms.

Outside of clinical work, Dr. Aftab enjoys “wellness loops” along the Chicago lakefront, cooking, reading, and traveling with his wife, a dermatologist.
