MICHELLE MURPHY
Nurse Practitioner
About
Michelle Murphy, ARNP, is the Founder and CEO of Peak Performance & Prevention. She grew up in Tallahassee, Florida, and was raised by a single mother who put herself through law school. Michelle earned an undergraduate degree in Environmental Science and initially pursued field biology, but after serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Mali, West Africa, she shifted her focus to improving human health. She returned to the United States to study Family Medicine and discovered functional medicine, which blends rigorous scientific investigation with patient education and empowerment.
Michelle’s DPC philosophy centers on rejecting the conventional disease‑focused model and providing patients with ample time, personalized care plans, and education to become active participants in their own health. In 2016 she sold her home, and in 2017 she launched Peak Performance & Prevention (P3), a Direct Primary Care practice that emphasizes root‑cause medicine, functional diagnostics, and a limited patient panel to ensure each individual receives comprehensive, preventive, and restorative care.
