About
Dr. Michelle Garcia, MD is a board certified family medicine doctor with over 10 years of experience and is the founder of Horizons Direct Primary Care. While she grew up in California, after living in Maine for 11 years, she is proud to call Maine her home. She is a graduate of University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed her family medicine training at the Maine Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency in Augusta, Maine. She has a particular interest in preventative health and lifestyle approaches to chronic disease management, women’s health, pediatrics, mental health, and palliative care. She was previously a clinical instructor for Tufts Medical School and received a teaching award from the University of New England Medical School.
