Michael Hilts

Dr. Michael Hilts is a board‑certified family medicine and sports medicine physician who leads Hilts Direct Primary Care in Greensboro, NC. He practices a Direct Primary Care model that emphasizes personalized, holistic care, extended appointment times, and direct communication via email and text. Dr. Hilts integrates functional medicine and regenerative musculoskeletal techniques, such as prolotherapy and platelet‑rich plasma (PRP) injections, to address patients' health comprehensively.

He earned his MD from the University of Utah School of Medicine, completed a family medicine residency and a primary‑care sports medicine fellowship at Moses H. Cone Hospital, and was the first physician in North Carolina credentialed by the ARDMS in musculoskeletal ultrasound (2012). Outside of medicine, he enjoys hiking, coffee roasting, and Bible study with his family.
