About
Dr. Matt Bain attended grade school through high school at Salem Academy in Salem, Oregon, then earned a Magna Cum Laude biology degree with a chemistry minor from Baylor University. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Oregon Health & Science University’s School of Medicine, earning Alpha Omega Alpha honors, and completed his Family Practice internship and residency at Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver, WA. Since joining the Albany community in 2001, he has maintained board certification and practiced family medicine, focusing on comprehensive, patient‑centered care.
Dr. Bain founded Mid‑Valley Direct Primary Care to restore the true patient‑physician relationship, eliminating third‑party insurance barriers. He believes in providing responsive, affordable care through direct communication, transparent pricing, and a family‑like clinic atmosphere, while also staying active in the community by coaching high school sports and engaging with local families.
