About
Dr. Martin Smith grew up in the small rural community of Santuck, SC, outside of Union, SC. He is known for his ultra‑competitive nature, which drove him to memorable stints on his high school basketball and baseball teams. He earned his undergraduate degree at Wofford College and attended the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) for medical school, completing his internal medicine training there. After a year in an MUSC internal medicine practice, he joined the Harvest Free Medical Clinic (HFMC) in 2013, where he now serves as medical director and oversees an internal medicine elective for MUSC students.
