Dr. Mark Richmond is a board‑certified Internal Medicine Specialist with over 30 years of experience. A life‑long Michigander, he spent his youth exploring the lakes, woods, and fields of Oakland County and Northern Michigan. Always curious and inquisitive about science and biology, he pursued undergraduate courses that eventually led to the study of medicine. After graduating from Wayne State University School of Medicine, he completed an Internal Medicine residency at St. Joseph Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Dr. Richmond values the doctor‑patient relationship above all else and believes it is the key to effective, high‑quality care. He emphasizes taking time to understand patients’ needs, engaging in two‑way communication, and providing timely access—principles that drive his Direct Primary Care practice at Docs by the Bay. Partnering with patients and collaborating as a team, he strives to deliver personalized, comprehensive care.
