About
Dr. Mark B. McColl is an East Tennessee native who grew up in west Knoxville and attended the University of Tennessee, where he felt called to medicine. After earning a Master of Arts in General Theological Studies from Covenant Theological Seminary, he completed his medical degree at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences School College of Medicine. He served on the student honor council and was active in the Christian Medical and Dental Association. Dr. McColl completed a combined Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in 2006. In 2012 he began developing a Direct Primary Care (DPC) model, launching Trinity Direct Primary Care in January 2016. In 2019 he founded Pillar Primary Care, PLLC to continue the DPC mission, emphasizing the Four Pillars of Good Health—nutrition, exercise, sleep, and peace—while providing personalized, relationship‑focused care for patients of all ages.
