Marissa Toussaint MD, MPH, FAAFP, is a board‑certified family physician with over fifteen years of clinical experience. She is dedicated to improving health outcomes for under‑served communities and champions women’s health, lifestyle medicine, and the elimination of health disparities. Dr. Toussaint combines traditional medical treatment with healthy behaviors, drawing on her passion for cooking and additional certifications in Culinary and Obesity Medicine to provide holistic, patient‑centered care.

In October 2020 she founded Anise Medical PLLC as a Direct Primary Care practice, emphasizing a “back‑to‑basics” approach that prioritizes long‑term relationships, transparent pricing, and ample time for each patient. Her DPC model focuses on preventive care, chronic disease management, and empowering patients with the education and tools they need to become active participants in their own health.
