MARILYN LAVALLEE

Dr. Marilyn Lavallee is an internist who founded Avalon Health, Inc. in Savannah, Georgia in 2017 to bring direct primary care (DPC) to the community. After graduating from Mercer University School of Medicine in 2001 and completing a residency in Internal Medicine at Memorial Health University Medical Center in 2004, she spent more than a decade practicing in traditional clinic settings. Frustrated by insurance red tape and short appointment times, she created a patient‑focused model where members pay a simple monthly fee for unlimited visits, basic labs, and low‑cost medications, allowing her to spend more time listening, educating, and coordinating care.

At Avalon Health, Dr. Lavallee emphasizes continuity of care, same‑day appointments, and a holistic approach that includes preventive services, chronic disease management, and personalized health coaching. She speaks French fluently, values community involvement, and strives to make high‑quality primary care affordable and accessible for all patients, especially those who have been underserved by the conventional insurance‑driven system.
