Maria Jefferson-Walker, DNPc, APN, FNP-BC is the founder and CEO of Hope Wellness Center & Spa, a Direct Primary Care (DPC) clinic in Chicago. With more than 20 years of experience, she emphasizes an integrative, culturally‑sensitive approach that puts patients’ needs first. By eliminating insurance paperwork and copays, her practice offers affordable, high‑quality primary care that focuses on preventive health, chronic disease management, and personalized treatment plans.

Maria is currently pursuing a doctorate in nursing practice at the University of St. Francis while continuing to serve the Beverly/Morgan Park community. She believes that direct primary care allows her to spend ample time with each patient, fostering strong therapeutic relationships and delivering comprehensive, whole‑person care.
