About

Dr. Maria Huang was born in Chapel Hill, NC and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. She attended Case Western Reserve University for both undergraduate and medical school, graduating summa cum laude with majors in chemistry and psychology and earning Alpha Omega Alpha distinction. After completing her pediatric residency at Seattle Children’s Hospital, she became board certified in 2009. Dr. Huang spent an adventurous year practicing in Christchurch, New Zealand before settling in Olympia, Washington, where she has been serving the South Sound community since 2011.

Frustrated with the limitations of productivity‑based medicine, Dr. Huang founded Orca Pediatrics in May 2024 as a Direct Primary Care practice. She believes in building long‑term, trusting relationships with families, providing unlimited, unrushed visits, and offering same‑day or next‑day access via phone, text, or virtual visits. Her philosophy emphasizes evidence‑based, compassionate care that treats each child as an individual and supports families in making informed medical decisions.
