Marc Hettlinger

Dr. Marc Hettlinger is the founder of Hettlinger Health, a Direct Primary Care practice in Barboursville, WV. After completing his undergraduate studies at West Virginia University, he earned his MD from Marshall University School of Medicine in 2009 and stayed at Marshall for an Internal Medicine residency, serving as chief resident in 2011‑2012. Since 2012 he has served the local community as a primary‑care physician, holding educational and administrative roles in the Department of Internal Medicine at Marshall University. In 2022 he launched Hettlinger Health to provide personalized, relationship‑based care under a Direct Primary Care model, emphasizing preventive health, same‑day appointments, and transparent pricing.

Dr. Hettlinger is board‑certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is committed to building long‑term patient relationships, offering extended visit times, and integrating telehealth to increase accessibility. Outside of medicine he is married to a local dentist and is a father of two, reinforcing his deep ties to the Barboursville community.
