MAGGI BIRDSELL

Maggi Birdsell, RD, LDN, is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator who earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Delaware. After obtaining her credentials, she moved to western North Carolina in 2009 and spent nine years with AppHealthCare, providing nutrition counseling and diabetes education in the public health sector. In partnership with Family Nurse Practitioner Heather Peters, she co‑founded Elevation Health, PC, where she now serves as the practice’s nutrition specialist.

At Elevation Health, Maggi embraces the Direct Primary Care model by focusing on lifestyle‑first medicine. She empowers members with personalized nutrition plans, diabetes education, and practical tools to manage chronic conditions, emphasizing that small, consistent choices lead to lasting health improvements. Her patient‑centered approach integrates food, fitness, stress management, and sleep to create a holistic, preventive care experience.
