About
Dr. Luke Van Kirk was raised in St. Paul, MN, New Orleans, LA, and Olathe, KS. He earned a biology degree from Evangel University in Springfield, MO, and attended Western University, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, CA for medical school. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at the Cox Family Medicine Residency Program in Springfield, MO, where he discovered a passion for Direct Primary Care (DPC).
As the founder of Command Family Medicine, Dr. Van Kirk built a DPC practice that emphasizes long, unhurried visits, 24/7 access via phone, email, and text, and wholesale pricing on labs and medications. He believes that removing insurance billing allows him to focus on the doctor‑patient relationship and provide comprehensive, affordable primary care.
Dr. Van Kirk is board certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine and remains active in his community, serving on the board of ARC of the Ozarks and participating in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Springfield Southeast Rotary Club.
