About
Dr. Luke Howell was born and raised in southwest Michigan before his family moved south to North Carolina. He then attended Bryan College in Dayton, TN where he graduated with a BS in Biology with plans of pursuing the practice of medicine. He met his wonderful wife, Sarah, while at Bryan and they were married after graduating together. They moved back to North Carolina and worked for a year before starting medical school at VCOM in Blacksburg, Virginia. He completed his Family Medicine Residency at Virginia Tech Carilion in Roanoke, Virginia. During his residency he was a member of the Leadership and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine tracks and was elected Educational Chief Resident. Dr. Howell is board certified in Family Medicine (ABFM, NBPAS) and is a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner. He joined Pillar Primary Care in August 2022 and is passionate about Direct Primary Care, emphasizing long visits, personalized care, and whole‑person health.
