Dr. Leigh "Jack" Forbush, DO, earned his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2001 and completed both his Family Medicine residency and a fellowship in Neuromuscular Medicine/Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at Eastern Maine Medical Center. With over 20 years of experience, he provides comprehensive family care that includes internal medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, obstetrics, and osteopathic manipulative treatment.
At the Osteopathic Center for Family Medicine, Dr. Forbush embraces the Direct Primary Care model, emphasizing a partnership with patients, transparent pricing, and unrestricted access through phone, text, email, video chat, and home visits. He is committed to spending ample time with each patient, avoiding rushed appointments, and empowering patients to make informed health decisions.
Dr. Forbush serves as President of the Maine Chapter of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, is a past President of the New England Direct Primary Care Alliance, and acts as Special Operations Director for the Direct Primary Care Alliance. He also volunteers annually in Paraguay with the Andrea Ritz Foundation, providing medical care to the Guarani community.
