Lazaro Gafas, APRN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC, is a dual board‑certified Psychiatric‑Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner who founded Miami Mental Health to provide accessible, affordable, and personalized telepsychiatry services throughout Florida. He began his career delivering primary care to underserved communities in Hialeah, then expanded into urology and men’s health in Altamonte Springs, where he managed a Men’s Health Clinic treating low testosterone and erectile dysfunction. In 2020 he returned to his native Miami and launched a Direct Primary Care‑style telehealth practice that emphasizes continuity, same‑day access, and a patient‑as‑family philosophy.

At Miami Mental Health, Dr. Gafas is committed to getting to know each patient’s whole story, offering evidence‑based integrative treatments that combine medication management, brief psychotherapy, and lifestyle counseling.
