Dr. Laurie Birkholz is a board‑certified Family Medicine physician and fellowship‑trained Women’s Health Specialist. She earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed her residency in Family Medicine at St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee, followed by a Women’s Health fellowship at the Aurora Women’s Pavilion in West Allis, WI. Since 2006 she has practiced in the Holland, MI community, and in July 2020 she founded Laurie Birkholz, MD & Associates, a Ms.Medicine‑affiliated practice that delivers Direct Primary Care and concierge primary care with a focus on personalized, holistic, lifestyle‑based medicine.

Dr. Birkholz’s DPC philosophy emphasizes low‑volume panels, extended visits, and direct patient‑provider relationships that eliminate insurance middlemen. She integrates comprehensive women’s health services—including menopausal medicine, sexual health, and gynecology—into primary care, and she is committed to educating patients to empower them in managing their health. In addition to her clinical role, she serves as Associate Medical Director for Ms.Medicine and lectures nationally on women’s health topics, contributing to community health education and professional development.
