LAUREN MCMULLEN

I am a Board Certified Primary Care Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of experience working in MA, NH and ME. Before becoming a Nurse Practitioner, I worked as a Registered Nurse in Primary Care in Waltham, and in Mental Health and Addiction in Boston. As an RN, I discovered my love for connecting with patients as well as the incredible importance of the healthcare provider/patient relationship. Values of non‑judgement, collaboration, empathy, humor, and compassion carry over to my role as a Nurse Practitioner and I’m proud of the patient relationships I’ve created as a Primary Care provider.

After many years working in corporate medicine, I became incredibly frustrated at the increasing focus on numbers and statistics and decreasing regard for the patient’s experience. I also became disheartened with the lack of support for providers and seeing how all of this was causing significant provider burnout. This motivated me to join a Direct Primary Care model where I can spend more time with each patient, focus on preventive care, and build lasting relationships. When I’m not working, I enjoy traveling the world, caring for my countless plants, and spending time with friends and family.
