KATRINA BRANG
Family Medicine
About
Dr. Katie Brang is originally from Traverse City, Michigan. She earned her undergraduate degree at Carleton College in Minnesota and worked as a phlebotomist at Munson Medical Center before attending Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine. After completing her medical degree, she finished the Marquette Family Medicine Residency in 2012 and subsequently served as a faculty member and hospitalist preceptor at the same residency program. In January 2023 she transitioned to NorthCountry Health Direct Primary Care, where she now practices family medicine with a strong emphasis on preventive care, nutrition counseling, and lifestyle medicine.
At NorthCountry Health DPC, Dr. Brang believes that high‑value primary care requires ample time for each patient, allowing for deep conversations about health goals, chronic disease management, and lifestyle changes. She is currently completing a Lifestyle Medicine Fellowship through the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, reinforcing her commitment to evidence‑based, whole‑person care. Dr. Brang’s approach centers on building lasting doctor‑patient relationships that empower individuals to take charge of their health.
