KATHERINE DUMONT

Dr. Katherine Dumont loves being a doctor, but it wasn’t her first choice for a career path. From a young age she was drawn to science after an early interest in poetry and literature. She earned a BS in biology with a minor in English Literature from the University of Dayton, then attended the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, graduating in 2004. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at William Beaumont Hospital in Troy, MI, and returned to her hometown of Anderson Township, Ohio, to practice family medicine. After twelve years in a traditional primary‑care setting, she embraced the Direct Primary Care model because it allows her to spend more time with patients and build lasting relationships, which she describes as the cornerstone of good primary care.
