Karl Saxman
Internal Medicine
About
Dr. Karl Saxman grew up in Los Alamos, New Mexico, and pursued his undergraduate studies at Stanford University before earning his MD at the University of California, San Diego. He completed an Internal Medicine residency at Stanford University, where he developed a commitment to full‑spectrum primary care. After more than 25 years of serving the Eugene, Oregon community—including hospital medicine at Sacred Heart and McKenzie‑Willamette—he transitioned to his own Direct Primary Care practice, Inspire Health DPC, to provide more personalized, relationship‑focused care.
At Inspire Health DPC, Dr. Saxman emphasizes same‑day or next‑day appointments, 30‑ to 60‑minute visits, and unlimited direct communication through phone, text, and telehealth. He believes the DPC model restores the doctor‑patient relationship free from insurance constraints, allowing him to address each patient’s unique health goals, preventive needs, and chronic disease management, with a particular focus on cardiovascular health, lifestyle medicine, and travel medicine.
