JUSTIN RUSHING

Dr. Justin Rushing, MD is a board‑certified family medicine physician originally from Arab, AL. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, completed a Rural Medicine program at Auburn University, and attended medical school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He then completed his residency in Family Medicine at Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Georgia. Dr. Rushing and his wife Julia moved to Cullman in 2020, drawn by the community’s values and a desire to build lasting relationships with patients.

In 2020 Dr. Rushing founded My Cullman Doctor, Cullman’s first Direct Primary Care (DPC) clinic. The DPC model allows him to eliminate insurance‑driven constraints, offering unlimited, hour‑long visits, direct phone access, and a membership‑based fee structure. He emphasizes spending quality time with each patient, listening carefully, and customizing care to individual needs, aiming to restore the personal doctor‑patient relationship that he feels has been lost in traditional practice.
