Joseph Reid, II

Joe is a lifelong Johnson City, Tennessee resident with a passion for using his medical knowledge to serve his community. Originally from the Boones Creek area, he founded Genesis Healthcare Center in 2009 to provide more personalized, thorough care to his patients. Joe has been working as a physician assistant since 2000. He’s used his medical expertise and commitment to quality patient care in a variety of applications, including family medicine, neurosurgery, and emergency medicine. Today, he uses his diverse medical knowledge to help his friends, neighbors, and any patient who walks through his doors to lead their healthiest, most whole lives.

At Genesis Healthcare Center, Joe and his team don’t just treat a specific symptom or an isolated part of the body. Instead, they take a whole‑body, personalized approach. He’s dedicated to helping people optimize their physical and mental health. This dedication has led Joe & his team to a new model of healthcare called “Direct Primary Care,” in which providers are no longer bound to insurance reimbursement plans, allowing patients to receive care that best fits their needs rather than an insurance model.
