About
Dr. Joseph (Joe) Peila grew up in Shepherd, Montana. He graduated from Montana State University with a degree in Cell Biology and Neuroscience. He then attended medical school at the University of Nevada School of Medicine and completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Colorado. Dr. Peila worked for two years as an outpatient Internal Medicine physician at Kaiser Permanente in Denver before returning to Montana in 2017, where he served as an internist at Billings Clinic. He later founded Pinnacle Internal Medicine, a Direct Primary Care practice focused on building long‑term relationships and providing personalized, hassle‑free care. Dr. Peila is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. In his free time he enjoys family activities, ranch work, skiing, hiking, and hunting.
