John Grimsley

Dr. John Grimsley is a family medicine physician who earned his MD from Georgetown University School of Medicine and holds additional graduate degrees in Biophysics & Physiology and Biology from George Mason University. Growing up in Northern Virginia, he has deep roots in the community and is a father of five. Together with his wife, Diana, he founded Summit Direct Care to provide a Direct Primary Care model that emphasizes personalized, preventive care and a collaborative doctor‑patient relationship.

At Summit Direct Care, Dr. Grimsley focuses on getting to the root cause of health issues, creating individualized treatment plans that incorporate lifestyle medicine, nutrition, and evidence‑based interventions. He strives to keep appointments concise yet thorough, ensuring patients feel heard and empowered to take charge of their health while minimizing unnecessary tests and medications.
