Dr. Jessica Collins McCain, MD, is a native of Fort Pierce, Florida, who returned to her hometown to raise her family and practice Family Medicine. She earned her undergraduate degree from Florida State University and received her Medical Doctorate with magna cum laude honors from Saint George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada. After completing a residency in Family Medicine at Saint Vincent’s Medical Center in Jacksonville, she became board‑certified in Family Medicine and obtained privileges at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center, where she serves as a patient advocate.

At Southern Comfort Health Direct Primary Care, Dr. McCain embraces the Direct Primary Care (DPC) model, believing that medicine should be personal and unencumbered by insurance bureaucracy. She spends ample time with each patient, prioritizing shared decision‑making, preventive care, and transparent communication. By eliminating middle‑men, she can focus on comprehensive, individualized treatment plans and ensure patients have direct access to her expertise.

Dr. McCain’s clinical experience includes work in diverse settings—from the West Indies to New York and Miami—where she cared for patients with limited resources and treated complex conditions such as HIV/AIDS. This breadth of experience informs her compassionate, holistic approach to family medicine within the DPC framework.
