JENNIFER SCHIRNER

Jennifer Schirner, PA‑C, grew up in Ohio and moved to North Carolina to attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies and played varsity volleyball. She later completed a master’s degree in teaching biology at Western Carolina University before discovering her passion for medicine. In 2010 she returned to school at James Madison University to become a Physician Assistant and has spent the past decade working in family medicine and urgent‑care settings.

At Integrative Family Medicine of Asheville, Jennifer embraces the Direct Primary Care (DPC) model, emphasizing a membership‑based practice that allows for longer visits, same‑day access, and a holistic, lifestyle‑focused approach. She combines conventional family medicine with proven natural therapies, prioritizing prevention, health promotion, and individualized care plans. Jennifer believes in listening closely to each patient, partnering with them to create personalized health strategies that address nutrition, fitness, stress reduction, and personal growth.
