Dr. Jeffrey Polgar began his medical journey as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant in a nursing home, an experience that shaped his compassionate approach to patient care. He earned his MD from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, where he focused on geriatrics and developed a deep interest in end‑of‑life care.
He is board‑certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine and has served as a hospice medical director since 2001, currently leading Compassionate Care WNC.
