JANELLE MCKEE

Janelle McKee, FNP-C, obtained her Family Nurse Practitioner Certification in 2012 from IUPUI. Prior to her certification, she worked as a nurse in a variety of fields including orthopedics, neurology, labor & delivery, NICU and post‑partum care. Since becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Janelle has worked in OB/GYN at IU North Women’s Carmel group, focusing on women’s health across all life stages. She is passionate about preventative health, hormone balance, thyroid issues, fatigue, and nutrition. Janelle’s journey into functional medicine began six years ago when she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder and found limited relief with conventional medicine. This experience led her to embrace functional approaches, emphasizing root‑cause investigation, nutrition, allergy testing, and gut health. She believes both traditional and functional medicine have important roles and is excited to provide Direct Primary Care that allows ample time with patients to achieve optimal health.
