James Bancroft

Dr. James Bancroft is a board‑certified family medicine physician who leads the R‑Health Direct Primary Care practice in New Brunswick. He emphasizes an old‑fashioned, relationship‑based model of care, stating that patients should be treated the way he would want to be treated himself. This philosophy allows him to spend ample time with each patient, listen carefully, and provide personalized advice without the constraints of traditional fee‑for‑service insurance billing.

He completed his residency at West Jersey Memorial Family Practice at Virtua and earned his medical degree from the MCP/Hahnemann School of Medicine (1998). Dr. Bancroft is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians. Outside of medicine, he enjoys family time, beach outings, home projects, and once lived in Thailand where he taught high school before attending medical school.
