IRA PEARLSTINE

Dr. Ira Pearlstine, born and raised in South Carolina, earned his MD from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He completed his Family Medicine residency at the University of South Florida Bayfront Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. Since moving to the Treasure Coast in 1987, Dr. Pearlstine has built a career centered on Direct Primary Care, emphasizing personalized, patient‑focused care, same‑day appointments, and direct communication without the constraints of traditional insurance bureaucracy.

At Preserve Health MD, Dr. Pearlstine combines his extensive clinical experience with a holistic approach that integrates preventive medicine, lifestyle counseling, and spiritual wellness. He is passionate about teaching, having mentored medical students from Florida State University for many years, and he frequently lectures nationally on advanced lipid management and hypertension. His commitment to community service is reflected in his past leadership roles with the Florida Academy of Family Physicians and the board of St. Lucie Medical Center.
